Wednesday, July 11, 2007 - "Will It Blend?"

That's the question asked by a popular, yet unheard of (by me) campaign for Blendtec blenders. At their web site www.WillItBlend.com, Blendtec's CEO Tom Dickson asks that question many times. From iPhones to garden hoses, Tom tries to blend just about anything. And he's open to your suggestions, too.

My hats off to a company who decided that they'd grab hold of the "viral video" phenomenon and produce a bunch of stuff that could show off their blenders.

When I first saw WillItBlend.com this morning, and saw the Blendtec name, I knew I'd seen the name before. Back in the day I used to work at Starbucks, and they used Blendtec blenders to make all those Frappuccinos. So these things really work!

And just so you know, yes, it will most likely blend, as these aren't your $29 WalMart special blenders. These things cost $400.

(The site seems to be slow today, as I think they're getting a lot of traffic from people wanting to see if the iPhone will blend.)
